About Me

Hello, I’m Jade.

I am the gardener behind Plant Therapy by Jade. I live in Mobile, AL with my husband, 3 kids & chocolate lab. I started gardening when we purchased our first home in Birmingham, AL in 2011; however, my love of flowers started way earlier thanks to my mom & both grandmothers.

I’ve learned so much over the years- due to successes and failures in my own yard. Gardening has taught me about patience, hard work, and just life. Spending time outside with plants has been incredibly therapeutic during hard seasons; hence, my business name. Yes, it’s like I’m doing therapy on your pots but truly it’s therapy for me. I love working with plants; it brings me so much joy. And I’m thrilled to spread that joy to others.

I’m actually a pharmacist, but I started this plant business after I ran out of space in my own yard. I started creating planters for neighbors, just for fun. Then a friend told me that people would pay me to do their planters for them. I started my Instagram account that same day and I haven’t run out of projects yet.

I have had the best time creating beautiful planters for clients. It’s been a joy getting to know so many new friends and making my town a little prettier, one front porch at a time.
